Lynne McIntosh has loved to draw and paint since her childhood in New Jersey. Her artwork took a unique turn after meeting her future husband, Bill, at the University of Delaware. Bills family owned horses, and Lynne began riding, hunting, showing
and drawing them.
It quickly became apparent that Lynne had found her niche. Now, she specializes in depicting horses in sport, and her love of the equine subject is evident in her work.
Lynnes paintings have appeared on the covers of Hub Rail, Hoosier Horse Review, and the Little Brown Jug Festival programs, and in Horse Illustrated, Equine Images, and Hoofbeats magazines.
Named the Official Artist of the Little Brown Jug, crown jewel event of harness racings Triple Crown of Pacing, she has been commissioned to paint 20 Jug winners since 1984 including Nihilator, Colt Forty Six, Beach Towel, Precious Bunny, Magical Mike, and the 1997 pacing triple crown winnerWestern Dreamer. These paintings hang in the collections of the proud owners of Brown Jug winners. McIntosh also painted the first two inductees into the Hoosier Park Hall of Fame, Single G and Dan Patch, and was named official artist of the 2000 Foxhall Cup and the 2003 Equine Affaire.
