About the artist

Lynne McIntosh has loved to draw and paint since her childhood in New Jersey.  Her artwork took a unique turn after meeting her husband, Bill, at the University of Delaware.  Bill’s family owned horsess, and Lynne began riding, hunting, showing and...

drawing them.  It quickly became apparent that Lynne had found her niche.  She specialized in depicting horses in sport and her love of the equine subject is evident in her work.

Lynne’s paintings have appeared on the covers of Hub Rail, Hoosier Horse Review, Little Brown Jug festival programs and The Corral, and in Horse Illustrated, Sidelines, Equine Images and Hoofbeats magazine.

In 1984 she was named the official artist of the Little Brown Jug, crown jewel of harness racing’s Triple Crown of Pacing.  Nihilator, Colt Fortysix, Beach Towel, Precious Bunny, Magical Mike and triple crown winner Western Dancer are among the 24 Jug winners she has painted.   McIntosh also painted the first two inductees into the Hoosier Park Hall of Fame, Single G and Dan Patch, and she was named the official of the 2000 Foxhall Cup and the 2003 Equine Affaire.  As an artist in residence for the public schools in Madison County, AL, she taught over 2000 students..
